PBC Facility Instructors

Portland Baseball Club Lesson & Camp Instructor

Location: Tualatin, OR
Duration: Part Time, Flexible Schedule
Compensation: $25 per hour

Portland Baseball Club is a player development trade school. Our mission is to prepare today's youth by learning athletic and life skills through baseball. A camp and lesson instructor will work directly with players in either one on one or small group settings. You are a teacher of baseball movements and skills.

We believe it is important for all of our instructors to be similar in our teaching philosophies. Coaches should be interchangeable so that players are not confused by different mechanics, philosophies, and terminology. PBC will provide a framework for what we believe in based upon research, observation, and analysis of the best players in the world. Further, we believe in an open dialog and open minded proces as teaching evolves on a daily basis. PBC will provide you with our catalog of drills and movement patterns and provide explanation for what that drill is trying to achieve and how.

A teacher is a life long learner. You can always ask a better question and you should be in a constant search for a better way to communicate or demonstrate something.

Coaches need to be open minded and be willing to blend old school with new school techniques and philosophies. There's definitely no one way to swing or throw, but there are some consistencies amongst the best in the world. A good coach will blend the athletes physical abilities to the best mechanics that fit his skill set.
